AEP's Nuclear Development group is seeking a Director of Commercial Development & Strategy to drive strategic growth, lead complex transactions, and ensure financial success of advanced nuclear projects. This role combines vision, deal making, and sector expertise to originate, structure, and execute opportunities that expand our advanced nuclear footprint.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in engineering, finance, business, or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred to support strategic growth and deal execution.
• 10 years’ experience arranging, developing, and negotiating investment opportunities.

Aufgaben

• Strategic input: identify high-value market opportunities; build business cases balancing returns, risk, and value.
• Transaction leadership: originate, negotiate, and close complex deals including acquisitions, greenfield rights, PPAs and procurements.
• Project development management: oversee end-to-end development; manage deal pipelines and due diligence feedback.
• Cross-functional coordination: lead activities from concept to financial close across permitting, engineering, real estate, and environmental diligence.
• Convene due diligence meetings; coordinate and circulate approval materials with risk oversight.
• Team leadership: mentor business development staff and align priorities with corporate objectives.
