Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking an experienced Task Project Manager – Electrical / Nuclear Outage to provide field leadership for electrical construction, modification, maintenance, and outage activities within a nuclear power generation environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of cable routing, pulling, terminations, testing, and Roxtec cable transit systems, and will oversee contractors, ensure compliance, and support safe, timely execution of outages and project work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leading electrical construction, maintenance, or outage activities in industrial, power generation, or nuclear settings.
• Experience directing electrical craft work and coordinating field teams.
• Experience with Roxtec cable transit systems and related installation/inspection.
• Knowledge of electrical penetration assemblies (EPAs) and containment routing.
• Ability to supervise contractors and craft personnel in active field environments.
• Proven capability to perform field walkdowns, pre-job briefings, and work package reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight and leadership for electrical construction, maintenance, modification, and outage activities.
• Direct and monitor electrical craft work (routing, pulling, terminations, testing, troubleshooting).
• Oversee Roxtec transit systems installation, inspection, and quality.
• Support EPA work, containment routing, and field implementation.
• Coordinate with site leads, planners, engineering, and stakeholders.
• Ensure work follows procedures, packages, drawings, and schedules.
• Conduct job walkdowns and pre-job briefings.
• Perform field observations and communicate safety and quality issues.
• Monitor progress and provide status updates to leadership.
• Apply nuclear safety culture and human performance tools.
