Job summary

Enercon is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for New Nuclear Design to lead our electrical engineering team across multiple domestic sites, including Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes leadership of technical engineers and driving safe, compliant designs for low and medium voltage systems and power distribution.

Candidates should hold a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, 6+ years in design for power generation or nuclear power (2+ in a lead/supervisor role), and be able to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 6 years of design engineering experience in power generation or nuclear power, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; travel duration may vary by project.
• Ability to motivate a team and lead through a positive, effective leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a dynamic electrical engineering team; approve designs and manage timelines.
• Direct/assign work, approve timesheets and expenses, and conduct annual appraisals.
• Ensure quality and compliance with codes; provide technical leadership.
• Develop client relationships and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Support recruitment and staff development and training.
• Manage budgeting and scheduling for projects; lead proposal preparation and scope/budget input.
