Duke Energy's Nuclear Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department seeks a Nuclear Engineer I/II to support design changes across the McGuire Nuclear Station. The role requires an ABET-accredited BS in engineering, with potential for a Master’s in lieu of the BS, and 0–2 years (I) or 2+ years (II) of engineering experience, including nuclear plant exposure.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• A Master’s degree in Engineering may be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Two years of engineering experience for Nuclear Engineer II.
• One year of nuclear power plant experience or equivalent oversight until fully qualified.

Responsabilidades

• Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes such as AC/DC power systems, transformers, switchgear and related equipment.
• Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, determine and present recommendations.
• Provide ongoing support of assigned engineering design changes through work order reviews and field installation support activities.
• Develop or revise design specifications or technical requirements documents to support engineering design changes.
• Develop or revise complex engineering calculations impacted by design changes and create safety screens/evaluations.
• Revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents affected by engineering changes.
