Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineer for its Nuclear Design Group.

You will collaborate across disciplines to drive design studies, develop estimates, and coordinate procurement and field activities on challenging projects. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 3+ years of electrical systems experience (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls), and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects.
• EIT preferred.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Able to contribute as an individual and in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: act as bridge between engineering teams across project disciplines.
• Shape Project Success: develop design studies, define scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates.
• Master Procurement & Installation: draft detailed specifications, evaluate bids, select solutions.
• Perform Precision Calculations: execute essential electrical calculations for designs and installations.
• Think Creatively: propose innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Be Hands-On in the Field: travel to sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, support start-up activities.
• Lead and Inspire Teams: foster a motivated, goal-oriented environment.
