Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop design studies, perform calculations, and mentor junior engineers on meaningful nuclear projects.

Requirements include a BSEE from an ABET-accredited program, 3+ years of electrical design experience, and US citizenship. Some roles may be remote; travel ~10% is expected. Salary range is USD 84,000–118,650 per year.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• EIT preferred.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship required due to federal contract.
• Travel about 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines and coordinate across engineering teams.
• Develop design studies, calculations, and analyses; create project estimates.
• Prepare engineering calculations and attend project meetings.
• Conduct field walkdowns and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead and inspire teams and support start-up activities.
