Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will collaborate across disciplines, develop design studies, and mentor junior engineers on meaningful projects.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years design experience, and US citizenship. Occasional travel (~10%) to project sites is expected; some positions may be remote in parts of the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
• Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates.
• Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment and evaluate technical bids.
• Perform essential electrical calculations for designs and installations.
• Bring fresh perspectives to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward.
• Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support startup activities.
• Lead and inspire teams with a motivational leadership style.
