Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Nuclear Design Engineer for a long-term remote contract to support design, construction, and operation of a world-class nuclear fleet. You will apply advanced engineering analyses and provide technical leadership to engineers while ensuring compliance with industry codes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+ years (midlevel) or 5+ years (senior) of nuclear engineering experience, with strong knowledge of codes and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years (Midlevel) or 5+ years (Senior) of nuclear or related engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs for nuclear plant operations.
• Provide in-depth technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
• Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short- and long-term programs affecting site operations.
• Apply engineering principles to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work.
• Ensure proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for projects.
• Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Perform other assignments including outage support and emergency response as directed.
