Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Deployment Engineering Manager to support the Director of Deployment Engineering for Natrium projects. You will lead a team coordinating site design engineering with central engineering, construction, procurement, licensing, and regulators to resolve technical issues and drive process improvements.

The role requires 15+ years of construction/manufacturing/project management experience, strong leadership and communication, and familiarity with nuclear systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of construction, manufacturing, testing and/or project management experience.
• Experience interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and multiple departments.
• Familiarity with sodium-cooled fast reactor technology or related DOE projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage communications and coordination between Natrium Central Engineering and onsite Site Design Engineering teams; set priorities, track progress, and ensure timely closure of engineering tasks.
• Support workforce planning by identifying resource needs based on project inputs and schedules.
• Strengthen interfaces between Site Design Engineering and Fabrication Engineering to improve decision-making.
• Organize and lead stakeholder meetings to drive resolution of cross-cutting engineering issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within Deployment Engineering to improve performance and alignment with goals.
• Interface with construction management, licensing, regulatory affairs, quality, procurement, regulators and home office functions.
• Develop and implement training/qualification plans for site design engineering disciplines.
• Champion employee development through targeted training and onboarding.
• Proactively manage competing priorities and resolve resource conflicts with team leads.
