Job summary

Global Laser Enrichment in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Controls Engineer. This role involves developing control systems for pioneering uranium enrichment technology. You will work closely with engineering teams on safety and operational requirements. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, active DOE Q-Clearance, and experience with PLC programming.

Important Note: U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of the work at GLE.

Qualifications

• Active DOE Q-Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience programming PLC-based control systems.
• Familiarity with control valves, pressure systems, and field instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control solutions for enrichment technology.
• Collaborate with teams to automate enrichment process equipment.
• Lead commissioning and testing of control systems.

Skills

Programming PLC-based control systems

Familiarity with control valves and field instrumentation

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs

Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation

Knowledge of industrial communication networks

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Education
