Job summary

Global Laser Enrichment in Wilmington, NC seeks a Licensing Engineer to support day-to-day licensing activities with a focus on developing the licensing application for proposed uranium enrichment facilities. You will work with engineering, safety, and regulatory teams to ensure NRC requirements are identified and addressed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain NRC Q-level clearance.
• BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering, or technical field.
• Experience in nuclear industry and nuclear licensing.
• Experience with NRC interactions (written or verbal).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills to schedule and coordinate regulatory content.

Responsibilities

• Develop licensing content, programs, and related products.
• Support planning and defense of license applications.
• Assist regulatory activities for licenses and regulatory submittals.
• Provide regulatory guidance to engineers developing technical requirements.
• Interface with regulators to manage reviews and audits.
• Write regulatory responses in accordance with guidelines.
• Support budgeting and planning for regulatory activities.
• Uphold quality and safety within licensing processes under QA programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
