Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. in Los Alamos, NM, seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead LANL projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget. You will act as CAM and coordinate controls, costs and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of construction experience, EVMS proficiency, and the ability to obtain a government clearance. Nuclear project experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and ten years of work experience in engineering, procurement and construction leading to thorough knowledge.
• US citizenship due to federal nature of the work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance.
• Advanced experience managing construction projects including EVMS.
• Experience identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of construction phases, upgrades, and D&D.
• Experience interfacing with program, project, and line management.
• Nuclear experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate abnormal events/incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Serve as CAM for planning, budgeting, and controlling costs and schedules.
• Ensure work packages reflect duration and budget and perform variance analyses.
• Present performance plans and status updates to federal sponsors.
• Lead a team with schedules, progress, and resource allocation.
