Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Tracy, CA, seeks a Mid-Senior Construction Manager to lead complex construction projects at Site 300. You will coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost alignment throughout preconstruction to turnover.

The role requires a DOE Q-level clearance, a CM/engineering/architecture degree, and extensive experience with high-hazard facilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Significant experience leading construction or infrastructure projects, including high-hazard facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management methods, codes, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex construction projects, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders; conduct preconstruction and progress meetings.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, contracts, risks, quality, safety, and procurement; implement recovery actions as needed.
• Coordinate work in high-hazard nuclear, radiation-hazardous, and security-sensitive facilities.
• Develop and implement safety, quality, and project-control plans; oversee documentation and turnover.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical and specialized systems; mentor staff.
