Job summary

Southern Nuclear seeks an experienced civil/mechanical engineer for Plant Vogtle 1 and 2. You will provide technical leadership in mechanical components/systems and civil evaluations, coordinating design changes, calculations, field walkdowns, and construction support.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering (PE preferred), 3–5 years’ mechanical/civil experience, and familiarity with nuclear industry codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an accredited college; PE license preferred.
• Mechanical or Civil Engineering focus preferred; other engineering disciplines considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in mechanical/civil components with nuclear industry exposure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for mechanical components/systems and civil evaluations.
• Coordinate design changes and related calculations.
• Conduct field walkdowns, construction support and troubleshooting; interface with vendors and internal teams.
