Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC in Johnson City, TN is seeking a degreed Civil Engineer to support the design and execution of construction projects for the nuclear industry.

You will perform civil design and analysis, develop calculations and drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with codes and QA programs on highly regulated projects. Field support and site investigations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering principles and standard practices.
• Ability to develop and review calculations, drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Familiarity with civil engineering codes and standards.
• Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design and analysis for DOE, nuclear, and regulated projects.
• Develop calculations, drawings, specs, design criteria, and technical reports.
• Design site systems: grading, drainage, erosion control, roads, utilities.
• Coordinate civil designs with other disciplines and review technical documents.
• Support field walkdowns, RFIs, submittals, and design changes.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and project schedules.
