Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a degreed Civil Engineer to support design and execution of nuclear industry construction projects in Johnson City, TN. You will develop civil designs from concept through closeout, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with codes and QA programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years relevant Civil Engineering experience.
• Ability to develop and review calculations, drawings, specs, and docs.
• Familiarity with civil engineering codes and standards.
• Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to visit active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design and analysis for DOE, nuclear, and other regulated projects.
• Develop calculations, drawings, specs, reports, and design criteria.
• Coordinate civil designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Review drawings, calculations, and vendor information for accuracy and constructability.
• Support project execution with cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, QA programs, and standards.
