Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a degreed Civil Engineer to support the design and execution of construction projects for the nuclear industry in Johnson City, TN. The role involves developing civil engineering designs from concept through construction and closeout.

You will work on multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with codes, quality programs, and project requirements, while providing field support and thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Familiarity with civil engineering codes and standards.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design and analysis for nuclear and other regulated projects.
• Develop calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate civil designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Review drawings, calculations, and vendor information for accuracy and constructability.
• Support project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
• Assist in site investigations and field walkdowns as needed.
• Provide engineering support during construction and respond to RFIs.
• Maintain complete engineering records and design documentation.
