Job summary

Met Council is seeking an NSLP Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our secondary warehouse, coordinating with the primary site, 3PL partner, and procurement. You will ensure accurate inventory, timely fulfillment, and compliance with NYS and NSLP requirements.

Using Market by Met Council (Salesforce-based) and Excel, you will track metrics, manage staff and drivers, and drive data-driven improvements across reporting, safety, and operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, or a related operational environment
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing or supervising staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including using spreadsheets for operational tracking, reporting, and data analysis
• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM, ERP, inventory management, or similar operational system
• Valid driver's license preferred; CDL a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day NSLP program operations at our secondary warehouse, collaborating closely with our primary warehouse.
• Partner with the NSLP Procurement Manager on product management, order fulfillment logistics, and inbound planning
• Manage and schedule warehouse floor staff, drivers, and vehicles supporting NSLP
• Coordinate inbound deliveries and storage with our 3PL partner
• Use our Salesforce-based ERP, Market by Met Council, to track inventory, manage reports, and flag discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, warehouse safety, and NSLP/ NYS OGS and NYS Agriculture and Market requirements
• Troubleshoot operational, logistics, and systems issues as needed and weekly reporting on operational metrics to leadership.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders.
