Job summary

South Dakota Mines is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations for the NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program, part of the 2D-Materials for Biofilm Engineering, Science, and Technology (2DBEST) Center. Work with the PI and leadership to recruit trainees, coordinate activities, and ensure compliant execution of the program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of project and program coordination in higher-ed or grant-funded settings.
• Professional written English including grammar, spelling, and business correspondence.
• Familiarity with office, productivity, collaboration, spreadsheet, database, and virtual-meeting software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trainee recruitment, onboarding, and program participation.
• Plan and coordinate meetings, seminars, workshops, and related logistics.
• Collect, organize, verify, maintain, and summarize program data for reporting.
