University of Missouri - Kansas City is seeking a Program Coordinator (Sr. Research Assistant) for an NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) project.

The role focuses on coordinating trainee activities, managing communications, and organizing seminars and workshops within a 12-month, benefit-eligible academic appointment. The position requires a Master or equivalent degree and involves collaboration with the Energy, Matters and Systems department to support budgeting, reporting, and future funding

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the NSF NRT project activities including trainee recruitment and tracking progress.
  • Ensure active participation of trainees and faculty in program activities.
  • Organize annual summer workshop and regular seminars.
  • Oversee trainee research efforts developed via NRT activities.
  • Manage program communications (flyers/posters/websites) and partnerships.
  • Lead monthly/bi-weekly collaboration meetings and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate future funding opportunities and degree program updates.
  • Organize advisory board meetings and liaison communications.
  • Support the Program Director in budgeting, reporting finances and expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the PD on costs and ensure logistics are in place.
