Job summary

Modoc Tribal Enterprises Authority, Federal Solutions Group is seeking an experienced NQA-1 Quality Control Inspector in Florida to conduct rigorous inspections of complex steel fabrication for compliance with AWS, AISC, and nuclear QA requirements.

You will verify welds, dimensions, traceability, and conformance to approved drawings and procedures, coordinating with NDE personnel, production, and project management to ensure objective quality documentation and corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification and nuclear QA exposure.
• Experience inspecting structural steel, welds, and dimensional features.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, weld maps, and inspection requirements.
• Proficient in applying AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.6 or equivalent codes.
• Strong documentation and traceability practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of fabricated components, welds, and dimensional features.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, and inspection plans.
• Review material IDs, heat numbers, traceability markings for QA.
• Coordinate inspections with NDE personnel and project teams.
• Document inspections clearly and maintain records for audits.
