Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a contract staff augmentation specialist to update software plans, procedures and work instructions for design and analysis engineering under an NQA-1 quality framework. Remote work within the contiguous United States is allowed, with travel as needed.

The role requires expertise in NQA-1 2008/2009a and 2022, plus strong technical writing and project coordination skills. You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure compliance with ASME, IEEE, and NRC software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; a technical degree is preferred.
• Ten+ years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing or implementing nuclear quality assurance programs.
• Strong technical writing skills and clear communication; ability to manage complex projects.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1, IEEE 7-4.3.2, and NRC Regulatory Guides in software (1.52, 1.168, 1.169, 1.170, 1.171, 1.172, 1.173).
• Experience in code development under a quality program is a plus.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Leads adequacy and efficiency evaluation of software programmatic infrastructure against NQA-1 2008/2009a and 2022.
• Prepares plans, procedures and desktop instructions for software in compliance with NQA-1 and IEEE standards.
• Provide guidance to other departments in meeting software regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
