Job summary
Advanced Energy, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, seeks an NPI Sourcing Buyer to identify and develop strategic suppliers for new product introductions. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cost optimization to support launches and manufacturing efficiency.
Reporting to the NPI Sourcing Manager, you will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time supplier performance and data integrity in ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
- 3+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute RFQs, negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
- Maintain supplier master data in ERP and systems for data integrity.
- Collaborate with Commodity Management to align sourcing with NPI goals.
- Engage suppliers early to improve manufacturability and reduce risk.
- Facilitate DFM reviews and resolve manufacturability issues.
- Coordinate engineering samples and prototype requirements with suppliers.
- Communicate design changes and updates to suppliers in the NPI process.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as liaison between engineering, supply chain and suppliers for cost-effective execution.
