Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for New Product Introduction (NPI) to lead supplier engagement and sourcing strategies across the product development lifecycle. You will partner with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and Quality to meet cost, schedule and performance targets.

You will drive should-cost analyses, design-for-supply-chain initiatives, and supplier readiness activities to support product launches and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• 1 year minimum supporting NPI, product commercialization, or new product intro programs.
• Experience leading supplier selection and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities from concept through product launch and production ramp.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with timelines, roadmaps and business objectives.
• Drive supplier involvement in DFx initiatives and supplier readiness activities.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, tooling, volume, lead times, quality, and terms.
• Monitor supplier performance, risk, and compliance throughout the NPI lifecycle.
