Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to interface with engineering, ensure efficient new design launches, and develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods and processes for assemblies and sub-assemblies.

The role collaborates with design engineering to release new products, estimates manufacturing costs, and defines tooling and process requirements to optimize production readiness and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical or industrial engineering.
• 3-5 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with design team to ensure manufacturing DFM/DFX across projects.
• Attend design reviews and provide manufacturing/assembly input from concept to production release.
• Develop preliminary work instructions and assembly process flows for new assemblies.
• Review CT/CN's for correct dispositions, BOM structuring, and routing.
