Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Exeter, NH seeks an NPI Manager I to lead and manage product development projects from inception through realization, guiding cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing and quality. You will drive plans, priorities and performance against milestones with moderate supervision.

The role requires strong communication with executive management, robust problem solving and a working knowledge of PLM/ERP systems, ISO processes, and cost-conscious project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business, or equivalent working experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 0-3 years of product development, engineering, manufacturing or related experience required.
• Must be mechanically inclined, and able to understand the function of mechanical devices and assemblies.
• Experience using and maintaining firearms is preferred.
• Established track record of project management skills leading interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong computer-based technical competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Notable degree of competency using project planning, collaborative work management, and task management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the product development team in the management and execution of all product development deliverables, assignment of priorities, setting developmental build plans, and closure of development open issues, with moderate supervision.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and balance conflicting resources and priorities.
• Maintain an intermediate level of SIG SAUER NPI process mastery, and the operational processes pertaining to cross-functional team members which contribute to the product development process.
• Communicate and report to Manager, Executive Management, and stakeholders, regarding the development status and timeline, and risks and mitigation plans, with moderate supervision.
• Escalate resource and priority conflicts to Executive Management and provide triage proposals to resolve issues.
• With moderate supervision, drive the launch of individual Bill of Material components through the part development lifecycle, including but not limited to driving the release of drawings, BOMs, routings, developing change order strategies, driving the stand-up validation of component manufacturing processes, and actioning the disposition of revisions.
