Job summary

Itron is seeking a Program Manager for New Product Introduction to lead hardware programs from concept to production. You will drive operational excellence across manufacturing engineering, procurement, logistics, supply chain, and R&D, ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced grid-management environment.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, applying Kaizen and Lean methods, managing risks, and delivering data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical engineering experience.
• Proven program management experience in hardware or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PCBAs, semiconductor components, and box-build assemblies.
• Experience with Kaizen, Scrum, Lean, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse teams.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring readiness and quality.
• Collaborate with Product Business Units, R&D, Product Marketing, Global Operations, and Finance.
• Apply Kaizen, Lean, and Agile methods to improve processes and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance from mechanical, electrical, or industrial domains.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation for uninterrupted progress.
• Deliver timely updates to stakeholders through reports and meetings.
• Align all program activities with customer expectations and company values.
• Develop contingency plans and dual sourcing strategies with suppliers.
