Job summary

Safari Circuits, LLC is seeking an Advanced Operations Engineer in Otsego, Michigan to lead NPI and process development from concept to full-scale production. You will coordinate with customers, program management, and manufacturing to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.

The role requires a strong engineering background, hands-on SMT/assembly experience, and a proven track record in regulated electronics environments such as medical, aerospace, or defense.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
Experience supporting NPI in contract manufacturing.
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Experience with ERP/MRP and MES systems.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI and process development from concept to production.
Develop manufacturing process flows and work instructions.
Support first builds, pilot runs, and ramp-up.
Optimize SMT, through-hole, box build, and test processes.
Drive yield, scrap reduction, and process capability.
Interface with Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production.
Collaborate with customers on technical and manufacturing topics.
