Job summary

Johnson Controls in Massachusetts is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Introduction to bridge novel part designs and production. You will optimize parts for production, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and ensure facility infrastructure supports these goals.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production teams. Five days onsite per week, with documentation and KPI reporting as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in capital equipment or industrial settings.
• Experience optimizing production processes and parts for manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD software and PDM systems.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Ability to analyze production metrics and present findings to stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with design engineers to influence designs early, driving DFM/DFA across manufacturing equipment.
• Optimize part designs and assembly processes for efficient production.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Document processes, manage facility support, and report on performance with KPIs.
• Maintain documentation including assembly instructions, BOMs, and SOPs.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs.
