Job summary
Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong NPI experience to help transition electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production, optimize manufacturability, and scale supply chain.
You will own parts of the manufacturing value chain, lead new systems installations, and collaborate across QA, design, and operations. This role requires a technical degree, 5+ years of hardware manufacturing experience, and clear communication.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, math, or a hard science.
- 5+ years in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
- Ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments.
- Experience integrating large assemblies/subassemblies.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience with configuration management and change control (CCB, E&O, effectivity dates).
- U.S. Person due to export-controlled information access.
Responsibilities
- Transition electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production.
- Own manufacturing value chain for high-complexity products.
- Lead projects to install new manufacturing systems and communicate progress.
- Leverage automation and integrated workflows to streamline processes.
- Develop process flows and subassembly breakdowns.
- Write work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers on repeatable processes.
- Travel to suppliers for sourcing and issue resolution.
- Contribute to hardware mechanical or electrical design.
- Coordinate with QA, Design Engineering, Technicians, PMs on standards and milestones.
