Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an NPI Engineer, Core Technology, to lead the transition of propulsion systems and electromechanical assemblies from prototype to high-rate production. You will drive manufacturability, scalability, and cost efficiency while ensuring quality and reliability for mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in NPI, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or production support for mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience developing and implementing test systems for validation across development and production.
• Deep experience in manufacturing processes (CNC, molding, casting, sheet metal) and electromechanical assembly.
• DFM/ DFA expertise and transitioning products from prototype to high-rate production.
• Experience with first article builds, pilot production, and ramp-up.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Experience designing tooling and fixtures for assembly/testing; CAD/PLM proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the transition of propulsion systems and assemblies from prototype to high‑rate production.
• Develop and implement test plans and systems for mechanical/electromechanical subsystems.
• Design, document, and validate scalable manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Introduce automation and tooling to optimize production efficiency and consistency.
• Scale processes with production teams and troubleshoot for high yield and throughput.
• Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production or field issues.
• Lead first article builds and ensure parts meet specs and performance.
