Job summary
Torrey Holistics in Chicago, IL is seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to lead APQP for new products, finalize fixtures in Autodesk Inventor, and own routers and BOMs through ERP go-live in Infor CloudSuite Industrial.
This hands-on role requires 5+ years in machine shop or sheet metal environments, fixture design, ERP experience, and Lean/Six Sigma knowledge. You’ll analyze KPIs, write clear work instructions, and train production teams on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in machine shop, sheet metal, welding, or hand-assembly environment.
- Fixture design experience for machining and manual assembly.
- Hands-on ERP-based routers and BOM management experience.
Responsibilities
- Design production fixtures and equipment in Autodesk Inventor.
- Own and maintain production routers and BOM structures through ERP transition.
- Lead APQP for new product launches with cross-functional readiness.
- Analyze process data, KPIs, and manufacturing costs to drive improvements.
- Author clear work instructions and test procedures; initiate ECNs.
- Provide on-floor technical support and training to production teams.
