Job summary
Ultimate Staffing seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Milpitas, CA for a full-time, onsite role focused on leading NPI and industrialization of electronic products and PCBAs. You will drive manufacturability, quality, and cost performance across prototypes to mass production, coordinating with customers and internal teams.
The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in electronics manufacturing engineering and strong knowledge of PFMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, and ECO/MCO processes, with hands-on PLM/ERP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in electronics.
- EMS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI builds from prototype to production ramp-up.
- Manage ECOs/MCOs with BOM analysis and impact assessments.
- Maintain BOM accuracy and codification management.
- Review component data and ensure RoHS/REACH compliance.
- Serve as technical lead in QBRs and customer discussions.
- Investigate issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing routings and labor standards.
- Create/process flowcharts, work instructions and APQP documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across Process Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
- Lead DFM reviews and feasibility studies.
- Specify tooling requirements for proto and production phases.
- Drive continuous improvement for new product launches.
- Verify materials readiness during SMT setup and initial production.
