Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join a client in Milpitas. This is a full-time, direct hire, 100% onsite position focused on optimizing electronic manufacturing operations across SMT, THT, and PCB assembly.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality and supply chain to scale operations, drive continuous improvement, and improve overall manufacturing performance through data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
5+ years in electronic manufacturing (SMT/PCB) environment.
Strong Lean and Six Sigma knowledge (DMAIC).
Proficiency in data analysis and KPI tracking.
Experience with SMT/THT and PCB assembly processes.

Responsibilities

Optimize production processes, line balancing, cycle time reduction, and labor efficiency.
Design and improve workstations, tooling, and fixtures to enhance productivity.
Support process setup, SMT/THT assembly, and resolve day-to-day production issues.
Monitor and improve manufacturing performance using KPIs (OEE, FPY, scrap rate).
Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma DMAIC).
Drive waste reduction and operational excellence projects.
Perform time studies and workflow analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) transitions and ensure DF/M readiness.
