Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA, is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to bring electro-mechanical products from concept to volume production. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify risks and streamline assembly processes.

Responsibilities include developing process flows, creating assembly instructions, validating tools, and supporting transfer to manufacturing partners. Domestic travel up to 25% may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Solid understanding of mechanical assemblies and BOMs.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks for part/assembly design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify manufacturing risks early in development.
• Develop and evaluate electro-mechanical assemblies to support process flows and best practices.
• Create assembly instructions and process docs for pilot production and contract manufacturers.
• Identify, design, and qualify tools and fixtures for assembly processes.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly issues.
• Assist training of pilot production and contract manufacturing personnel.
• Facilitate transfer of new products to volume manufacturing partners.
