Job summary

MatX is building next-generation AI compute infrastructure and seeks an experienced NPI Product Engineer to bridge engineering and manufacturing. You will own product readiness, qualification, and quality as we move from design into mass production with JDM/ODM partners.

Role requires 5+ years in NPI or hardware product engineering across EVT-DVT-PVT, strong DFM/DFT, and the ability to drive testing, validation, and ECO processes. Hybrid work and equity opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

5+ years in NPI or hardware product engineering with EVT, DVT and PVT.
Strong DFM/DFT/ DFA experience for complex assemblies.
Experience collaborating with JDM/ODM partners for production readiness.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

Own product NPI from EVT through DVT and PVT, leading readiness and reviews.
Define requirements, specs, acceptance criteria, and exit criteria with partners.
Develop validation plans (functional, system, environmental, reliability) and coordinate qualification.
Serve as the technical interface between engineering and JDM/ODM suppliers.
Analyze defect trends, drive root-cause actions, and improve yield and quality.
Own ECO evaluation and mass-production readiness; ensure manufacturability.
Maintain NPI documentation and communicate risks and readiness to leadership.
