Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Engineering NPI Trainer to design, develop, and deliver training programs for New Product Introduction processes. You will coach manufacturing teams on process flow, line balancing, time studies, and lean methods, ensuring proficiency and sustained performance on the shop floor.

The role requires strong presentation and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively across departments, and a commitment to staying current with industry practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programs to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, time studies, process mapping, line balancing, and capacity planning.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and experience with relevant industrial engineering software tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, CPLP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update training modules and materials for NPI processes including process flow, line balancing, time studies, capacity planning and lean manufacturing principles.
• Conduct engaging training sessions for manufacturing engineers, operators, supervisors and others on the production floor and in classrooms.
• Evaluate training effectiveness via assessments, feedback and performance metrics and continuously improve programs.
• Collaborate with Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Program Management to identify training gaps and create targeted NPI solutions.
• Provide hands-on coaching during NPI launches and assist with problem-solving while adhering to processes.
• Stay current with best practices and Jabil's NPI methodologies to keep content relevant.
• Develop and maintain a robust training documentation system with outlines, presentations, exercises and evaluation forms.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for NPI industrial engineering principles.
