Job summary

Sanmina Corporation’s Fremont facility seeks an NPI Fabrication Product Engineer to drive manufacturability and cost optimization for new sheet metal and electromechanical products. The role bridges Design Engineering, Customers, Quality and Shop-Floor Operations, ensuring smooth integration into production lines and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities include leading Alpha/Beta/Pilot runs, performing DFM/ DFA reviews, maintaining BOMs and routings in ERP, and coordinating with

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–3+ years in fabrication, sheet metal or electromechanical NPI/launch.
  • Strong understanding of tolerances, tooling and DFA/DFM.
  • Proficient with ERP platforms and CAD tools like SolidWorks.
  • Experience in prototype execution and pilot line validation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee early build phases (Alpha/Beta/Pilot) and validate processes.
  • Lead DFx reviews on customer CAD models prior to release.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, assembly structures and routings in ERP.
  • Collaborate with engineering, customers and shop floor teams.
  • Support procurement with drawings/specifications and tooling needs.
  • Travel as needed to client projects and vendor sites.
