Job summary

Sanmina Fremont, CA, seeks an NPI Fabrication Product Engineer to bridge design, quality, and shop-floor operations. You will optimize manufacturability and cost for new sheet metal and electromechanical products, guiding prototypes to full production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3+ years in fabrication, sheet metal, or electromechanical environment with NPI/launch focus.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and ERP systems; experienced with GD&T and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Oversee early build phases (Alpha, Beta, Pilot runs) and resolve bottlenecks before full volume.
• Lead DFx reviews of CAD models, drawings, and prototypes prior to release.
• Create and maintain pre-production BOMs, structures, and production routings in ERP.
• Support procurement, pricing, and vendor drawing reviews; collaborate across engineering.
