Job summary

Viant Medical Inc. is seeking an NPI Engineering Manager in Wheeling, IL to lead the engineering team through new product introduction, industrialization, and process development.

You will partner with customers and internal functions to ensure robust manufacturing processes, risk management, and scalable production for metal-centric medical devices. The role emphasizes DFM/DFA, product transfer, and compliant execution under FDA/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.
• 4+ years demonstrated people leadership or project leadership.
• Experience leading NPI, product industrialization, process development, design transfer, validation, and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from concept through commercialization and production launch.
• Manage engineering resources, priorities, timelines, and budgets for customer development programs.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams on DFM, DFA, risk assessments, and design transfer activities.
• Develop robust manufacturing processes for metal-centric medical device components and assemblies.
• Drive process characterization, DOE, equipment qualification, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve safe, high-quality, on-time product launches.
