Job summary

Carrier is seeking an NPI Engineering Manager to lead the New Product Introduction engineering team and own manufacturing readiness from design input through pilot builds and ramp to full production. You’ll collaborate daily with Design Engineering, PM, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure on-time, on-cost delivery with required quality.

The role emphasizes line industrialization, tooling and equipment planning, capital execution, and handoff to sustaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams, matrixed or direct reports.
• 5+ years applying APQP, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP and process validation on production launches.
• 3+ years managing launches to time, cost, quality and capacity gates, including pilot builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI engineering team and set priorities across concurrent programs.
• Own launch readiness from design input through pilot, start of production and ramp.
• Represent Operations in phase-gate reviews with readiness evidence for production authorization.
• Drive DFx input, PPAP, and process validation; ensure BOM accuracy and clear-to-build status.
• Coordinate pilot runs, validation builds and transfer with cross-functional teams.
• Establish routings, standard work, operator training and certification for new processes.
