Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer for a permanent onsite role in Big Lake, MN. You will lead from quote through production, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to drive robust, cost-efficient machining processes. The role requires hands-on NPI, lean methods, and PFMEA/Gage R&R in an ISO environment.

The position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits, with travel between sites as needed to support NPI and transfers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an associate degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with PFMEA and control plans to support process validation and risk mitigation.
Experience in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments and precision machining.
Experience with CAM/CAD tools and CNC programming for complex machined components.

Responsibilities

Lead product and process development activities from quote to production launch.
Collaborate with customers to provide manufacturability feedback and influence design for manufacturing.
Coordinate NPI activities across engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams.
Develop lean manufacturing processes, BOO/BOM structures, and process controls.
Create NPI control plans, PFMEA, qualification activities, and Gage R&R studies.
Own first-run manufacturing processes and ensure targets for performance, quality, and cost.
