Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking an NPI Engineer in Mason, MI to lead manufacturability improvements for new products and manage pilot runs through transition to mass production. This role emphasizes quality and process optimization within a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, perform DFM/DFM reviews, and drive continuous improvement across NPI processes to ensure successful product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in NPI engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and quality control.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during product introduction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
• Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and provide feedback to design engineers.
• Manage pilot production builds and oversee the transition to mass production.
• Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing risks for new products.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and control plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and product quality.
