Job summary

Teradyne's Semiconductor Test Division seeks a Process Engineer to shape PCB development from concept to volume release, applying DFM principles and running experiments. You will influence PCBA design for manufacturability and collaborate with multiple teams to drive improvements in NPI documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in PCB assembly with IPC knowledge and hands-on experience in soldering, SMT, cleaning, inspection, and design reviews. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical preferred).
• 5+ years in printed circuit board assembly and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PCBA processes (solder paste printing, SMT placement, reflow soldering, aqueous cleaning, automated inspection, ESD).
• Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Hardware Design on New Product initiatives, influencing PCB assembly with Design for Manufacturability principles.
• Drive failure analysis for electrical components and PCBA solder defects.
• Develop and support PCBA Design for Manufacturability guidelines and assembly best practices; update NPI process docs.
