Job summary

Enpro Inc. seeks an NPI Buyer/Planner for NxEdge in Morgan Hill. You will drive end-to-end commercial execution for New Product Introduction, coordinating quotes, supplier pricing, and planning parameters to enable rapid launches.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Finance to ensure on-time delivery, proto-activity alignment, and a smooth handoff to sustaining materials. DOE applies for salary range 104k–110k.

Qualifications

• Coordinate RFQs and ensure due dates and inputs are complete before quotation release.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate responses, clarify scope, compare total landed cost and lead time, identify alternatives, secure pricing.
• Maintain the assigned quote queue, aging, status, commitments, supplier dependencies, risks, and decisions for cross-functional visibility.
• Translate quote assumptions into material requirements, planning dates, purchasing actions, and recovery plans.
• Place and manage purchase orders; confirm acknowledgements; expedite items; reconcile discrepancies.
• Run or support quote and launch reviews with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Finance.
• Monitor end-to-end material and supplier path until producible and ready for stable production.
• Maintain supplier, price, lead-time, MOQ, and planning data in ERP/MRP systems; support purchasing accuracy.
• Identify long-lead material and single-source risks; develop mitigation options.
• Standardize RFQ packages, templates, and launch checklists; enable reusable pricing knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience in buying/planning or related manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

• Convert quotes into executable supply and production plans.
• Track and drive supplier pricing, lead times, and documentation.
• Support first-article, prototype, and production milestones with planning actions.
• Place and manage authorized purchase orders, and resolve delivery or price discrepancies.
• Lead cross-functional reviews and document actions and owners.
• Ensure end-to-end material availability and readiness for production.
