Job summary

You will collaborate across teams to monitor inventory, schedule deliveries, and secure essential items for projects and production. As a Buyer, you will negotiate with suppliers, drive on-time fulfillment, and support cost reduction initiatives while ensuring quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality; follow-up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain records.
• Proactively drive timely delivery of parts from suppliers to Applied Materials facilities; resolve shipment, receiving and billing issues.
• Partner with suppliers on demand/supply collaboration; manage pull-ins/push-outs to meet MRP demand.
• Drive inventory and efficiency improvements; support cost reductions while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Negotiate and execute purchases and RFQs to achieve lowest cost with appropriate quality.
