Job summary

MiniMed is seeking an on-site Assembler II in Northridge, CA, to support New Product Introduction. You will participate in turning product ideas into manufacturing-ready solutions, use various tools, and help ensure quality as products move into full-scale manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, adherence to schedules, and collaboration with the NPI team to refine processes and ensure successful launches.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-first mindset.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to effectively perform the essential duties of the position
• Requires minimum of 2 years of experience in production
• Requires High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Requires full job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures
• Physical: standing for up to 8 hours per shift
• Hands-on assembly/manufacturing production experience
• Experience using hand tools and production equipment
• Attendance and reliability responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing processes
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Quality – attention to detail and ability to identify and correct quality issues

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
• Works from visual aids, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
• Sets initial layouts and uses tools to prepare product(s).
• Maintains continuity checks on work in process and completed products.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line per specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies.
