Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation seeks a Project Manager for New Product Development (NPD) to lead cross-functional teams from concept to launch. You will drive governance, define requirements, and manage schedules, budgets, and risks to ensure on-time releases that meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include end-to-end planning, stakeholder engagement, and program execution across hardware/software development, validation, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline
• Advanced Project Management (PMBOK, Waterfall) knowledge including scheduling, planning and risk mitigation
• PMP Certification (preferable)
• 5+ years of demonstrable Project Management experience
• Experience handling large New Product Development projects with internal and external teams
• Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive level teams
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma knowledge (preferable)
• Strong English-speaking is required

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project meetings to drive actions and decisions
• Own end-to-end project planning and control (scope, schedule, budget)
• Prepare governance decision packages and challenge project readiness
• Influence with and without authority across diverse global teams
• Co-facilitate workshops to improve execution, quality and team effectiveness
• Engage stakeholders to build well-rounded project teams including hardware/software, validation, manufacturing, QA, procurement and regulatory
• Identify and manage project risks and blockers, enabling timely mitigation and escalation
• Utilize PM tools to ensure milestones, deliverables and accountability
• Ensure communication of decisions and archiving of artifacts for status reporting
