Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking an intermediate Program Manager I to support Rubbermaid Commercial, manage smaller NPD projects, and drive stage-gate execution with cross-functional teams.

You will apply structured project management methods, maintain schedules, and monitor budgets while guiding teams through critical milestones. A PMP is preferred and collaboration with marketing, R&D, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in project management, NPD, operations, or supply chain.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Planner, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages smaller or less complex NPD projects and assigned workstreams with limited oversight.
• Leads project planning sessions with cross-functional partners to develop timelines and milestones.
• Uses MS Planner and related tools to build, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
• Supports PMO KPIs including timing, cost, quality, scope, and budget performance.
• Partners with Brand Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations to clarify scope and execution plans.
• Facilitates recurring team meetings and status communications to drive alignment and execution.
• Identifies, monitors, and escalates risks; recommends mitigation plans and communicates status.
• Explains PMO processes and stage-gate requirements to team members and partners.
• Contributes to improvements in PMO processes, templates, and reporting.
