Job summary

Newell Brands in the United States is seeking a Program Manager I to join the PMO supporting Outdoor and Recreation. You will lead global cross-functional teams through the stage-gate process to develop, commercialize, and launch innovative product solutions.

Responsibilities include planning, reporting, preparing gate materials, identifying risks, coordinating with Brand Marketing and R&D, and ensuring on-time, in-full delivery while maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in product development and project management.
• Ability to drive accountability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to think critically and balance depth and breadth of analysis.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies: predictive, Agile, stage-gate, and hybrid.
• PM certification (e.g., CAPM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects of varying complexity.
• Facilitate project planning sessions to develop timelines, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and ownership.
• Motivate teams and ensure accountability for deliverables.
• Deliver PMO KPIs on timing, cost, quality, scope, and budget.
• Identify variances and risks using KPIs to guide prioritization and resource trade-offs.
• Partner with Brand Marketing, R&D, and cross-functional teams to define project scope and requirements.
• Maintain focused weekly team meetings and clear communication channels.
• Prepare materials for gate meetings and portfolio reviews; document decisions and actions.
